Milner, Josephine Bogart, 100, passed quietly on July 31, 2011. Born on April 9, 1911 in Columbus Grove, Ohio to the late Allen Grant and Bessie Lillian Bogart (nee Kissell). She married her late husband, Glenn Leland Milner, Sr. (born in Waterford, Ohio) on August 19, 1936 and moved to Baltimore. After teaching several years, she became a social worker for Baltimore City, later the State of Maryland. She retired in 1984 and became an avid volunteer at her church and nearby Baltimore-Washington Medical Center. She was active in Lions Club and a regular bowler. She is survived by her son, Glenn L Milner, his wife Glenda, her daughter Bettijean M Miller and her husband Sheldon. She leaves two grandchildren, Julie Anne and Mark Ross Milner. She was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Haddox (Frank), Jeannette Caldwell, and brother Allen Grant Bogart (Ruth). She is also survived by her brother-in-law, James Caldwell.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be given in her name to the Community United Methodist Church, 8680 Fort Smallwood Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. The family is receiving friends Tuesday, Aug 2, from 5pm to 8pm, at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena and Wednesday, Aug 3, from 10am to 11am at Community United Methodist Church preceding the funeral at 11. The funeral will be followed by interment at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, MD.
