KENNETH WAYNE BENNETT "KEN", 73, of Charles Town, WVA passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012 at his residence. He was born on July 23, 1938 in Circleville and was the son of the late Warren Bennett and Gladys Hartman Bennett. He was of the Catholic faith. Ken was a wonderful and caring big brother, a great friend to all who knew him and a loving companion to his three dogs, Scarlet, Zuni and Cricket. He will always be remembered and in our thoughts. He is survived by one sister Charlotte Bennett of Charles Town; one brother Orlando "Doc" Bennett and wife Barbara of Annapolis, MD; three aunts Eva Propst, Avis Thompson and Doris Colaw; one nephew Kevin Bennett and wife Libby; four great-nephews and two great-great-nephews. He is also survived by best friends Peggy LaGray, Ron Cohen and Cliff Sanforth. He was preceded in death by his nephew David Bennett and three uncles.
A celebration of his life will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 237 E. Patapsco Ave. (Brooklyn). Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Hwy. Balto, MD 21225. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Ct. Martinsburg, WV 25403.
