Kenneth R. Cornish, Sr., 86, of Pasadena, MD, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Born on Staten Island, NY to Abraham and Grace Cornish he lived his early life on Staten Island before entering West Point Military Academy, followed by service to his country as a Korean War Veteran, first in the Army, then transitioning to the Air Force, and many years of federal civil service.
Kenneth was passionate about serving others through church ministries, scouting, Masonic endeavors, and military and civilian service to his country. He was an avid reader who believed knowledge and wisdom were cornerstones to a productive life and passed these values along to his children and grandchildren.
Kenneth was devoted to his wife of 64 years, Dolores and a loving and devoted father to his children Theresa, Linda, Kenneth, Jr., Paul, and Janice. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the youngest and last of six siblings.
Military honors and a Masonic Memorial will be held at the Lakemont Memorial Gardens chapel on Thursday, December 15, 2016, 12 Noon, 900 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD.
