Kenneth James Kolodziejski

December 2, 1953 — April 6, 2025

Kenneth James Kolodziejski, 71 of Pasadena Maryland, left this world peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 6, 2025. Through God's Grace, Kenny leaves a legacy for us to follow, for his love of the outdoors. He is survived by his loving son Scott and his wife Candice and 4 grandchildren, Makensie, Mason, Marissa and Christian.

He was a devoted husband to his late wife Linda (Nee Taylor) for 35 years. He cherished his loving late parents Joseph and Cass Kolodziejski and his late brother Joseph Kolodziejski.

His love for the outdoors started at an early age fishing and crabbing with his dad and brother. He began his career mating for Captain Walter Booker on the "My Desire" out of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. He saved enough money from mating to purchase his own boat "Susie" which is when Ken started commercial oystering, crabbing and fishing from the Chesapeake Bay to Florida in the off season. Early in his career. Ken was always the entertainment on the boat with his stories and jokes.

He was born and raised in South Baltimore and attended Thomas Johnson # 84 elementary and Francis Scott Key # 76 Jr. High and Southern High. Ken loved fishing and hunting. He learned how to make lures/ Bucktails in high school from his teacher/mentor Captain Ed Darwin who owned the "Becky D" charter boat. Ken had taken making bucktails from a hobby and personal use to starting Kenny K's Bucktails. Every lure was made by Ken personally. His lures were sold at fishing shows to local tackle shops and Baltimore's famous Tockerman's.

Ken was also an avid freshwater fisherman. He loved fishing in tournaments with his brother Joe or whom ever was available, If Joe could not make it. He fished in the Delaware Bass Federation and won the classic 2007. His many awards are on display at his home, that show his success.

Ken's other passion was hunting. There were not too many days during the season that he did not spend in the deer woods. He was an avid deer hunter. His presence and camaraderie with him in camp made it special for everyone. You knew it was going to be a great time.

Ken finished his career working for Baltimore City as a heavy equipment operator for 20 plus years. He will be deeply missed by all, but we will find comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is in God's hands.
