MUNZERT, Kenneth M 88 of Warren Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was the son of the late Leonard G. Munzert and Louetta Louise Munzert (Nee Schwabeland, and was a lifelong resident of Baltimore. Mr. Munzert attended Staunton Military Academy and Harvard University and was a member of the United States Naval Reserve. He retired in 1978 from the regional Planning Council, a state of Maryland agency, where he was a computer programmer. Prior to that he worked in the computer lab at Johns Hopkins Hospital and for Legg Mason and John C. Legg & Co. Mr Munzert was a member of the Baltimore Engineers Club, Hopkins Club, Homewood Campus, Harvard Club of Boston and a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church. He purchased real estate in South Baltimore, now called Federal Hill in 1964 when the area was threatened by construction of a Multilane highway and bridge. he was a charter member of the Society for the Preservation of Montgomery Street, Federal Hill and Fells Point. Mr. Munzert traveled extensively, having recently returned from a four month trip to Europe.
