Landis Thompson, Jr.

Landis B. Thompson, 78, a resident of Orchard Beach/Pasadena his whole life, died February 6, 2018 at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, Maryland.

He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 23, 1939. He lived in his Pasadena home for 58 years. Mr. Thompson worked as a Mechanic at numerous places and retired from B.G.E. after 25 years. Landis enjoyed gardening, woodworking, working on cars, Ravens, NASCAR and most of all spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing music, dancing, dining and traveling with his special friend Peggy Fitzpatrick.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Elva Thompson. He is survived by his 5 children Michael and Jennifer Thompson of Delmar, Michele and Robert Grimes of Salisbury, Lisa Thompson of Pasadena, Kevin Thompson of Dunkirk, and Shawn and Katherine Thompson of Pasadena; sister Linda Shepard of Orchard Beach; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road (PASADENA) on Friday February 9, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Where a funeral service will be held on Saturday February 10, 2018 at 1 PM. Cremation to follow.
