Leonard Newsom Lackey passed away July 17, 2024, in Pasadena Maryland. Born on May 11, 1948 in Trieste, Italy. Leonard led a life filled with dedication and love to his work and loved ones.
Having pursued his education and obtained a master's degree, Leonard excelled in his career as an engineer for the United States government. His professional contributions left lasting impact and showcased his passion for innovation and excellence beyond his professional endeavors. Leonard was known for his faith and love for God. His spirituality brought strength to those around him. Additionally, he had fondness for the Railroad and was affectionately referred as a "Rail Man" reflecting his unique interests and passions.
Leonard honorably served in U.S. Navy. His military service further exemplifies his selflessness to a greater cause.
Leonard will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Viki Lackey, whose unwavering support enriched his life. He is survived by his cherished daughter Jordan Partridge and grandson Jonah Partridge. In this time of grief, may they find solace the memories they shared with Leonard.
Among those who preceded Leonard in death are father Carver Lackey and mother Bruna Lackey. Their memories will forever on in the hearts of those who knew them.
In addition to family members Leonard leaves behind longtime friend Bill W., whose companionship brought joy to Leonard's life.
Services to honor and remember Leonard Lackey will be held on Tuesday July 23, 2024. A Viewing will take place 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM followed by a Funeral at 11:30 AM - both at the family owned and operated McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home in Pasadena, MD. The Burial will commence at Crownsville Veteran Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
