Linda M Austin

Linda Austin of Pasadena, MD passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 66. She passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones after a valiant fight with breast cancer. Linda was a devoted and caring daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Born November 3, 1957 in Baltimore, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Nancy Cover. She is survived by her son Keith Austin and wife Heather of Pasadena and son Kurt Austin and wife Ashley of Severna Park. She was the cherished “Grammy” of Douglas, Daisy, Logan, Connor, Caleb, and Gavin. She also leaves behind countless friends who could always rely on her to deliver a smile when needed most.

 An avid athlete at Patapsco High School, she earned varsity letters playing volleyball, basketball, and softball. Upon graduation, she resided in Dundalk and worked first in an administrative role at Westinghouse before leaving the workforce to raise her sons. She returned to work in 2007 first at the Dundalk Eagle, where she wrote obituaries and performed administrative tasks before moving on to EBA Engineering where she worked as a data analyst until retiring in 2020.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted fan of the Orioles and Ravens, as well as college basketball. She was a prolific duckpin bowler for many years in the First Lutheran (of Gray Manor) Bowling League. After retirement, she finally got to live her dream of traveling the world by cruise ship, and visited over a dozen countries on a number of cruises. She also volunteered her time at the Christian Assistance Program Food Pantry. 

Never one to let the conversation stop, Linda enjoyed talking and joking with anyone lucky enough to be in her presence. She spent countless hours supporting her sons and later her grandkids in their sports and school endeavors, always on the sideline as their biggest fan. She enjoyed family vacations, especially those to Ocean City. She will be dearly missed by all who had the good fortune to meet her.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Where funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 10:30 am. Interment Druid Ridge Cemetery.
