Lois Butkus
July 5, 1947 — May 7, 2016
Lois Fansler Butkus, age 68, passed away on Saturday May 7th, 2016 at home in Pasadena, MD. Born July 5, 1947 in Media, PA to the late William and Ruth Fansler, she is survived by her sister, Judith Lidie.
Lois graduated from Penncrest High School, Media PA in 1965 and married her former husband, Robert Butkus in 1969. She is survived by her two children; Michael T. Butkus and Connie L. Butkus and her two grandchildren, Sarah Butkus and Michael “Troy” Butkus. She is also survived by her loving companion of 29 years, Stephen MacEmcy.
Lois enjoyed playing Cards with friends and family. She had a passion for traveling, making lifelong friends all over the world. She loved spending quiet quality time with her family and dogs. She will always be remembered for her giving heart and endless generosity. Lois will be greatly missed and her memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home P.A., 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena MD 21122 on Saturday May 14th, 2016 from 12-2pm.Where a memorial service will be held at 1 PM.Flowers will be accepted at this location or in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.
