Lovette Rochelle Taylor-Bowens passed away on February 11, 2025. Devoted wife of Charles Bowens, Jr.; loving mother of daughters Ty-asia Taylor, Deasha Taylor and son Terreik Taylor; dear grandmother of Sa’Riya Alston, Rylan Carroll, Noah Taylor, Elijah Taylor, Dominick Cullins and Mensah Hunter. 

Lovette attended the Groveland Park Elementary school in Baltimore Md, after elementary school Lovette attended the Wuerzburg American High School where she received her High School Diploma. After high school Lovette joined the United States Air Force in 1992 serving 7 years, eight months and 23 days as an Information Management Specialist. Lovette's military honors include, the Airforce Longevity Service Award, The Air Force Training Ribbon, The Air Force Overseas Ribbon, The National Defense Medal, The Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 2 devices. Lovette highest military honor was received while serving in Saudi Arabia during the 1996 bombing of Khobar Towers where coalition forces were supporting Operation Southern Watch a no-fly zone operation in Southern Iraq where she was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

 Lovette served faithfully as a member of The City of Grace a nondenominational Christian Church until her illness prevented her from attending.

Lovette was the darling of everyone she encountered always encouraging, giving, and caring for others. Her benevolent attitude towards others has touched many, she housed the homeless, feed the hungry, gave to the needy, and clothed those in need always willing to help giving her best in everything and everyone.

 Family and friends are invited to visit the family owned and operated McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Thursday February 20, 2025, from 3-5 PM only. A funeral service will be held on Friday February 21, 2025, at 9:30 AM. Interment Crownsville Veteran Cemetery.
