HAMILTON , Margaret (Wood) On April 13, 2015, Margaret Hamilton, 92, of Pasadena, MD, died. She was born on June 6, 1922 in South Baltimore, MD. She is preceded in death by her mother Irene Abey; her brother Ira Wood; and granddaughter Kimberly Magrogan. Margaret was a very compassionate & loving mother. She enjoyed family gatherings, traveling and reading. Margaret was an entertainer & singer many years ago. After winning a singing contest with Sammy Kaye, Margie Shearer, (her stage name) began doing a show on WBAL radio weekly, performing on a children's show, singing at the Hippodrome as well as many local clubs throughout the Baltimore/DC area, she sang with the Zim Zimmeral band, and did several commercials. She was a beloved and devoted wife to Albert Hamilton for 52 years. She leaves to mourn 4 children and their spouses, Dawn & Dr. John Sadler of Reisterstown, MD, Janet Daue of California, Mary Lou Trimp & Dan Mauck of Pasadena, MD and Alison & Gerard Donohue of Orchard Beach. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Mary Ann Markley, Heather Lapidario, Amanda, Ryan, Jacob and Jenna Donohue, Bob and Andi Mowrey, Ginny VonBussenius, Kyle, Dwayne and Brandon Mauck. She leaves behind 9 great grandchildren, Kimberly, Trey, Noah, Alex, Daniel, Tristan, Bradley, Brandi and Gabi. She leaves behind one sister, Shirley & Tony Liotta; and her niece Jennifer Cuevas, and 2 nephews Mark Wood and Edward Hewitt.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. PASADENA on Wednesday April 16, 2015 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Jane Frances Church in Pasadena, MD on Thursday April 16th at 10 am. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
