Martin David Holman, Sr. of Pasadena, Maryland passed away peacefully on April 24, 2024 at the age of 63 after his battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore on August 4, 1960 to the late William D. and Anna Holman.
Mark, as he was commonly known, was a dedicated husband of 44 years to Patty Holman who he married on March 1, 1980. He was a loving father to 3 beautiful children; Shannon Holman Gillingham, Martin David Holman, Jr. and Brian Michael Holman. He was the proud grandfather of 3 granddaughters; Makayla Ripnick, Brielle Holman, Vivienne Kelly-Holman and 1 grandson Basil Kelly-Holman. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter Reagan Buckner.
Mark was employed over his lifetime as a concrete finisher and an auto mechanic at Dave's Automotive in Anne Arundel County when he finally retired. His passion in life was music. He enjoyed family cookouts and trying to get everyone together. Always the jokester, he loved to call his sister to tell her he was bored. Mark was always tinkering with one vehicle or another but would drop what he was doing for his family.
In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, Mark is survived by two sisters; Helga Fennington of Brooklyn Park, Md and Evelyn Haithcock (Stan) of Chestertown, Maryland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William Wayne Holman.
Family and friends are invited to visit the family owned and operated Mccully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Saturday April 27, 2024 from 10 AM until 1 PM at which time a funeral service will begin.
