MARTY MAHONEY, SR THE SON OF THE LATE WILLIAM B AND VIOLET (WATTS) MAHONEY
WAS BORN ON 11-07-1943 IN PASADENA, MARYLAND.
HE GRADUATED FROM WILEY H BATES HIGH SCHOOL, YEAR 1961.
IN 1979, HE WAS UNITED IN HOLY MATRIMONY TO EVELYN M (NICHOLSON) MAHONEY,
THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, WHOM HE ADORED.
HE ATTENDED VARIOUS CHURCHES THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE; HE WAS BAPTIZED AND REDEDICATED
HIS LIFE TO THE LORD AT GRANITE BAPTIST CHURCH IN 1981.
HE WAS KNOWN FOR PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE (GOSPEL HORN) AT THE HOUSE OF THE
LORD AND SENIOR HOMES. ALSO AFFILIATED WITH MAGOTHY (MT ZION) SINCE
CHILDHOOD.
LOVED TO HUNT, FISH, YARDWORK, BEING HOME, AND SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY
AND FRIENDS.
HIS WORK RECORD INCLUDED KENNECOTT (20 YRS), ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY (30 YRS)
WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY WORKING AT GIANT, PART-TIME (10 YRS).
MARTY DEPARTED THIS LIFE SUDDENLY ON FRIDAY, JUNE 24TH, 2016.
HE LEAVES TO MOURN, WHOM HE LOVED DEARLY, A DEVOTED WIFE, EVELYN MAHONEY,
TWO GOD-SISTERS GRACE BROOKS AND GERALDINE OSBORNE, NIECE DAVINE
(MAHONEY) WALLACE, SONS MARTY JR., VON, KEVIN (MELISSA), MARDY , DAUGHTERS,
DEBORAH , TRACEY, CARLA, LORI, LASHAWN, AND LADONNA, 14 GRAND-CHILDREN, 1
GREAT-GRAND CHILD……AUNTS, COUSINS, SISTER-IN-LAWS, AND BROTHER-IN-LAWS,
AND A HOST OF OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE BROTHER DAVID M. MAHONEY AND A GRANDSON
THANK GOD FOR THE YEARS WE WERE BLESSED WITH YOU MARTY.

THE LAITY PRAYER
If God should beckon me
with outstretched hand
And Whisper softly of an unknown land.
I shall not be afraid to go,
For though the path I do not know
I take His hand without a fear.
For He who safety brought me here
Will also take me safety back.
And though in many things I lack.
He will not let me go alone
Into the valley that's unknown...

DON'T

Don't spend too much time mourning, tears are for the sad
I've left to be with Jesus - and this should make you glad.
Don't vex (WORRY) yourself with questions or reasons why
Life for me has ended, it came my time to die.
Don't lose the love I've given you, feed it with care
Grow it with devotion and spread it everywhere.
Don't fret because my leaving, came in such a way
Wevnil have another meeting, on God's eternal day.
THE FAMILY
I am in the flow of divine order and all is well. All
I see before me is the presence of God. God is all
there is. I do not need to understand why things
happen in my life as they do; I simply trust the
divine plan.

Death Is Only a Part of Life
We enter this world
from "THE GREAT UNKNOWN
And GOD gives each SPIRIT
a form of its own
And endows this form
with a heart and a soul
To spur man on
to his ultimate goal
For all men are born
to RETURN as they CAME
And birth and death
are in essence the same
And man is but born
to die and arise
For beyond this world
in beauty there lies
The purpose of death.
which is but to gain
LIFE EVERYLASTING
in GOD'S GREAT DOMAIN
And no one need make this journey alone
For GOD has promised
to take of HIS own.
