Mary E. Anthony passed away peacefully at her home in South Carolina surrounded by her loving daughter Chris and son-in-law Norman Laushe on August 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary V. Friedman (nee North), brother, Henry Jackson Johnson and beloved husband, Daniel Anthony. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Born on September 1, 1920 in Alexandria, VA, she was raised in Pasadena, MD, then moved to Cherry Hill, NJ in 1951 with her husband Dan and daughter, Chris. Upon Dan’s retirement, they returned to Maryland here Mary enjoyed golf, bowling, bingo and crabbing off their pier on Stony Creek. She was a wonderful woman, wife and mother who enjoyed entertaining family and friends, always greeting them with a big smile.
A funeral Mass was said on Wednesday, September 2, 2915 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach, SC. A Celebration of Life will be held at family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 3 to 5 pm. Graveside services will be held in Crownsville Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10:45 AM.
