On September 21, 2009, MARY ELLEN (nee Chick); devoted wife of James R. Backoff and beloved mother of Stephen J. Backoff, Jennifer L. Williams and her husband John; devoted grandmother of Emma and Ava; devoted sister of Shirley and James Cloud, Michael and Bea Chick, Marge and Ron Burr.
Family will receive friends at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME P.A., 3204 Mountain Road (Pasadena) on Thursday and Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 7859 Tick Neck Road, Pasadena, Maryland 21122, at 2 P.M. Interment will be private. Those desiring, may make contributions to St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Mary Ellens Backoff's memory.
