On November 3rd 2023, Nancy Lee Lehmann Brager passed away at the age of 89 in Millsboro, Delaware.
Born in Baltimore, Nancy was the devoted daughter to her loving parents, the late Arthur Sr. and Matilda Lehmann, and sister to the late Arthur Lehmann, Jr.
Growing up, Nancy was a polite, well-mannered child, who loved to spend time at her family’s shore home on Bodkin’s Creek in Pasadena. She enjoyed fishing and crabbing with her Dad and would often help her Mom prepare meals from their bounty off the waters, to include deliciously-steamed Maryland crabs.
In 1955, Nancy married the absolute love of her life, the late Donald D.A. Brager, Sr. Together, Nancy and Don raised a beautiful family - son, Donald Jr. (Anne) and daughter, Leslie. As parents, they were unwavering teammates and steadfast supporters in raising their children.
A homemaker, Nancy helped support her family as a seamstress. She had a thriving home business, spending hours with her fellow seamstress and sister-in-law, Helene, crafting beautiful garments from simple scraps of fabric.
Nancy and Don always held a special place in their hearts for Ocean City, Maryland. Spending family vacations in OC during the summer as their kids grew up, it eventually became their home together for decades to come.
Over time, Nancy (and Don) developed a deep passion for travel and cruising with their family and friends. Nancy enjoyed sailing on the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas, around the Hawaiian Islands and Alaska, through the Panama Canal, and along the coastline of New England and Canada. The destination was irrelevant though, as long as she had family and friends to share those special moments and adventures with.
Nancy is survived by her children Donald(Anne) and Leslie. She also leaves behind her beloved 15-year old cairn terrier pooch, Maddie. 🐾. Both Don and Nancy adored their precious fur baby.
