Norman R. Bennaman

In 1981, he met the love of his life, Mary Jo Bowen, with whom he shared a home for 42 years until his passing.  Norman was a quiet, gentle man who enjoyed trips to the casinos at Atlantic City, the beach at Ocean City, MD, watching action-comedy films on TV, and interacting with his pet cat, Stanley.  In 2009, Norman and Mary Jo assumed guardianship and great loving care of his mom Hilda at home, who developed Alzheimer’s until her passing in 2015 at age 93.

Norman enjoyed family occasions and dinners at the homes of Mary Jo’s son, Artie and his wife Laura Buckliew and their child, Zachary.  Artie and Zach regarded Norman as their father and grandfather, respectively.  He also loved sharing dinner and good times with his brother Mel and wife, Barbara, and their family of 3 children, Shannon Kalasky, Shawn Bennaman and Amy Lynn Harris, and nieces and nephews.
