Paula Morgan

Paula M Morgan (nee Nahnibida), 61, passed peacefully Saturday, July 29, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  She grew up in Glen Burnie and made her home in Pasadena with her husband of 47 years, Steve, and her two daughters,  Courtney (Morgan) McAvoy  and Ashley (Morgan) Baldwin.  She was the devoted daughter of Rita Nahnibida and the late Paul Nahnibida. A loving sister to Nancy Breitenbach, her husband Glenn, and brother Greg Nahnibida, and his wife Donna. She loved her daughter’s husbands, Tom Baldwin and Nick McAvoy, as if they were her own. Her love grew exponentially as she was blessed with four granddaughters, Sophie McAvoy, Kinley McAvoy, Emery Baldwin, and Abigail Baldwin. Her world revolved around her granddaughters. She was the loving Aunt to Brandee (Breitenbach) Djuric, her husband Ian, Tyler Breitenbach, Nicole (Nahnibida) Porter, and Stacey (Nahnibida) Duncan.

Paula had an accomplished career as a CPA. She had been the Chief Financial Officer at Timberlake Homes for twelve years following a successful nine years as the Chief Financial Officer of Harbourton Capital Group, Inc., a publicly held corporation. Prior to Harbourton, she was Vice President/Controller of Loyola Federal Savings Bank (now Sun Trust Bank).   Paula was a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park. She passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam without a calculator on the first try. She was an active board member with the Maryland Association of CPA’s and Christmas in April for Prince George’s County, MD. She was also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Paula was always a champion for others and her activism in the community showcased her enormous heart.

Paula’s favorite days were spent on the beach in Fenwick Island, Delaware. She loved playing patty cake with her granddaughters, Black Friday shopping with her daughters, having water balloon fights, and watching field hockey, soccer, lacrosse, and softball games. She made the best apple pie and crab imperial.  She made everyone she met feel welcome and loved. She always complimented you on a cute outfit. She laughed at all her husband’s silly jokes. She was the hug everyone needed after a long day. She was everyone’s rock, cheerleader, and mentor. For now, we will throw a seashell back into the water as the sun sets, hoping we will be blessed with seeing it again. Goodbye Mom, Grandmom, Aunt Paula, Sis, and true love.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church 8325 Ventnor Road PASADENA on Thursday at 11 AM. Cremation services to follow.
