Raymond Woods, Sr.

Raymond E. Woods Sr., (Ed) 70, a resident of Cape Coral Florida and native to Pasadena Maryland passed away on February 6th 2018 at Franklin Square Hospital surrounded by his family and close friends.

On April 26, 1964 he married Sharon his high school sweetheart and welcomed two beautiful children, who were the most important part of his life. Ed worked at General Motors in Baltimore for 41 years as a manager of the paint department.

Ed is survived by his wife, Sharon Woods (Barnette), his daughter, Marie Woods and her husband John Saia and his son,Raymond E Woods, Jr and his wife Betsy Woods along with his 2 grandchildren Raymond E Woods, III and Richard Matthew Woods.

Ed spent most of his life in Pasadena Maryland until moving to Cape Coral Florida in 2005 to spend his retirement in warm and sunny weather.  Once there he decided to go back to work part time at Lee Tran driving a special needs bus.  He retired for the second time in July of 2016.

Although residing in Florida Ed and Sharon made many trips back to Maryland to spend holidays and celebrate important events with their family and friends.

He enjoyed boating, motorcycle riding, and lots of other outdoor activities with those he loved, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM. Entombment Loudon Park Cemetery.
