Rebecca Sue Cobb

Rebecca “Becky” Sue Cobb, age 61, of Glen Burnie, MD passed away on Friday, November 8th peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones after suffering from dementia for the last few years. Becky was born on February 1st, 1963, in Fort Meade, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Nancy Susan “Sue” Patterson and Delmer Waylon Patterson.

Becky attended Glen Burnie High School and graduated in 1981. Becky attended The Medix School for Dental Assisting and graduated in 1982. She then went to work for Dr. Drucker and Dr. Gruver and ran their dental office until 2016.

Becky married the love of her life, Brian Cobb, on November 2nd, 2002. They spent 22 wonderful years together going to Nascar races, camping with friends, going on cruises, and spending time with family. Becky loved her dogs Emmy and Reba.

Becky is survived by her husband, Brian Cobb of Glen Burnie, MD; a brother, Donald Patterson (Christine) of Glen Burnie, MD; a sister, Yvonne Marsh of Sugar Grove, WV; a half-brother, Christopher Patterson of Kentucky; two stepchildren, Paul Cobb and Stephanie Abrams both of Glen Burnie, MD; a niece, Theresa Kimble of Franklin, WV; three grandchildren, and a very special care giver, Vicki Chestnut, who lived with her. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a nephew, Michael Patterson, and brother-in-law, Larry Marsh.

Becky’s family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday, November 14th and 15th from 5pm-9pm both evenings, and services on Saturday, November 16th at 9 am at McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. A graveside service will be held at Glen Haven Cemetery directly after services. 

The family invites you to join them for a meal at The Elks Lodge in Glen Burnie after graveside to remember Becky. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
