Rebecca Clark Flynt, 61 of Odenton, MD died January 12, 2014 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. She was born November 29, 1952 in Baltimore, MD to Charles Clark Jr. and Mae L. Shirk Clark.
Rebecca was a 1970 graduate of Clear Creek High School in League City, TX. She earned an Associate of Arts degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1973 and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2000. Rebecca enjoyed theatre as a patron, performer, and scenic designer. She enjoyed traveling; especially visiting the Southwestern US, vacations to London and Paris, and trips to Disney World. She was also very fond of the cats that were an important part of her life: Freddy, Nicholas, Bradbury and Sullivan.
She is survived by Ray Flynt, her husband of 39 years, her father Charles Clark Jr.; brother Charles G. Clark of Austin, TX and his wife Donna; sister Barbara Clark Huang of Fairfax, VA and her husband G.C. Huang; nieces Melissa Clark Klopp of League City, TX and her husband Stephen; Ann E. Rosendale of Sioux Falls, SD and her husband Kyle Alberty; and Chelsea Rosendale of St. Paul, MN; nephews David Flynt of Campbell, CA; Michael Flynt and his wife Noriko of Ladera Ranch, CA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mae L. Clark, and by grandparents Charles G. Clark and Dorthea Weaver Clark Williams and Jacob Shirk and Verle Shriner Shirk.
Funeral arrangements by the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, Maryland. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 PM. with Rev. Ann E. Rosendale, campus pastor at Augusta College in Sioux Falls, SD officiating. Interment following at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
