Richard Allan Necessary

Richard Allan Necessary on January 12, 2025, at age 73, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Richard Allan Necessary passed away surrounded by his family. He was born in Baltimore to the late Charles and Patricia Necessary. 

A proud graduate of Glen Burnie High School, Richard dedicated 50 years to working for General Motors. Outside of his career, he was an avid fan of exercise and carpentry, always finding joy in building and improving his surroundings. For many years, he also poured his heart into coaching youth wrestling and softball, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; son, Alex; and brother, Charles. He is survived by his loving children, Heather Necessary, Stacey Curry and her husband Russell, and Adam Necessary, his cherished grandchildren, Zoey Nichols, Allison Curry, Cayden Curry, and Taylor Necessary. Richard is also survived by his brother Gordon and his sister-in-law Susan Necessary; sisters Roberta and Charlene Necessary; his devoted stepchildren Kendal Steele, Chandra McLain, and Troy McLain; step-grandchildren Kaci Antes, Connor Antes, Zander Steele, and Olivia Terronez; 11 nieces and nephews; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
