Abel, Robert Carl devoted father of Cathie L. Monge and her husband Peter of Rockville and Robert T Abel and his wife Kim of Glen Burnie, dear brother of Theresa Eason and her husband David of Chevy Chase and Thomas Abel and his wife Lynn of Pasadena, loving grandfather of John W. Wayne, IV of Arlington, Christopher T. Abel of Glen Burnie and Jessica Bunn of Pasadena.
Mr. Abel a resident of Anne Arundel County most of his life was born in New York on December 6, 1939 to Robert and Stella Abel and died at his Pasadena home on January 2, 2014. Mr. Abel served in the Coast Guard from 1957 to 1961. He was a Stationary Engineer for 10 years at the University of Maryland and a member of the American Legion Post 40 who enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and watching the Ravens.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Saturday 2:00 to 4:00 PM ONLY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Baltimore-Washington Medical Center 301 Hospital Drive Glen Burnie, Maryland 21061.
