After a courageous bought with cancer Robert (Bob) Batton, 75 of Pasadena, Maryland passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016. He was born on April 30, 1940. Bob was the devoted husband of 50 years to Arlene Batton and the loving father of Kelley White (Batton) and father-in-law to James White. He was the son of the late William and Anna Batton. He is survived by four sisters; Joan Fastie, Patricia Moran, Margaret Smith, Susan Kessler and two brothers; William Batton, Joseph Batton and the late James Batton.
Bob was a graduate of the Maryland Institute. He served in the Army Reserves in the 1960’s. He worked for the Sheet Metal Local 122 and is retired from UAW Local 239/ General Motors of Maryland. After retirement, he enjoyed spending his time woodworking, creating beautiful stained glass and baking.
Bob also enjoyed spending time and doing handy work at his beach house in Delaware. He was always working on a project or fixing something for someone. He enjoyed being busy and was a very hard worker. He loved to be on the water riding on his boat and crabbing. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at home and at the beach. He enjoyed going out to dinner with his family and friends and having a few cold beers. Bob was an avid sports fan of the former Baltimore Colts, the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.
Most importantly he was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A.3204 Mountain Road (PASADENA) on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM. Interment Loudon Park Cemetery 3620 Wilkens Avenue Baltimore, Maryland 21229.
