Ronald Shirk Sr
March 15, 1947 — March 9, 2014
On March 9, 2014 Ronald James Shirk Sr. passed away in his sleep from hypertension & diabetes. Ron was in Ft. Lauderdale with his wife Barbara of 41 years getting ready for there anniversary cruise the next morning.
Ron is survived by the love of his life, Barbara A. Shirk, two sons Ronald James Shirk Jr & Steven Charles Shirk Sr and 3 Grandchildren Skyler, Steven & Mackenzie Shirk.
Ron enjoyed his time camping with his wife, golfing and attending his grandchildren's events. Ron is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served Honorably in Vietnam. He worked for the MD SHA at BWI Airport as an Electrician then opened his own business RJS Electric in 1990. He would spend his spare time building his home in Burgaw, NC where he and Barbara would retire to one day.
Ron never once thought of himself before the needs of his family.
