On February 17, 2011, Sarah Michele Guineviere Pyles passed away suddenly in Alba, Italy while on a St. Mary's College study abroad program. Her major was Political Science and International Relations. She graduated in 2009 from Chesapeake High School in Pasadena, Maryland. Sarah was an ardent reader and an avid Lady Gaga fan. She leaves behind her beloved brother Daniel, her parents Susan Swanger and H. Mark Pyles, stepmother Laura C. Pyles, stepbrother Jeffrey H. Adams, her grandparents Bud and Janice Swanger, her grandmother, Carolyn Pyles, her Titi, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly, and her beloved cat, Salem. A visitation will be held on Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 PM, February 27, 2011 at McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A. in Pasadena, Maryland. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, Maryland. The family invites all of Sarah's friends to come and celebrate her life with them, and requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Sarah Pyles Scholarship Fund, to fund scholarships for Chesapeake High School and St. Mary's College of Maryland.
