Sidney Lightfoot

Sidney Elbert Lightfoot born on December 29, 1940 in Vinita, Oklahoma, was a long time resident of Pasadena, MD . He passed away on March 6, 2016 surrounded by family. He passed unexpectedly from complications after surgery. He was 75 years old. He is survived by his wife Deborah Spittel; children Norma Mervine, Rachel Lightfoot, and Joshua Lightfoot; grandson, David Mervine; great grand-daughter Sophia Mervine; brother Butch Lightfoot; and sisters Sondra Sumner, Jayne Barton, Carol Spunaugle, Ballary Branstetter, Deborah Emberson, and Cynthia Pearl Lightfoot. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Patsy and Chester Lightfoot, and sisters Barbara Jo Arrington and Sally Ann Lightfoot.

Sid served in the Navy out of high school and had many interesting careers including time as a Baltimore City Police Officer, and business owner of seafood restaurants and trucking companies. He was a hard working, honest, generous, down -to- earth guy. He enjoyed spending time with family, doing crossword puzzles, flying, sailing and being outdoors. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road (PASADENA) on Saturday March 12, 2016 for a Gathering from 12-1 PM. Where a Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM.
