Stanley Pajak

January 26, 1928 — September 4, 2018

Stanley Casimer Pajak of Pasadena, MD passed away on September 4th, 2018 at the age of 90.  Known to family and friends as “Bally”, the beloved Stanley was one of 12 children born to polish immigrants in the Curtis Bay neighborhood of Baltimore.  Joining the Merchant Marine at age 16, he served on three Liberty ships during WW II.  Mr. Pajak was involved with commercial shipping his entire career.  In May 1947 he joined the International Longshoreman Association local No. 333.  He retired in 1987 from ITO Corporation of Baltimore, a steamship terminal operations company.  Mr. Pajak enjoyed discussing ships, the U.S. Navy, and the Port of Baltimore.  He loved taking beach vacations with his family, watching local sports, and listening to big band music.  A frequent patron to local restaurants, his personality could light up a room.  Mr. Pajak was preceded in death by his parents, Stanislaw and Victoria Pajak, nee Cwalina, his wife Catherine Matilda Pajak, nee Baker, and eight siblings.  He is survived by two daughters  Sandra Hughes and Barbara Davis, son-in-law Glenn Davis, three sisters Lucy Jezierski, Ruth Conrad and Marlene Michocki, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Services and interment were private.
