Susan Marie Parker (Williams)
Susan Marie Williams Parker was born in Whitefish, MT on March 10, 1951 to Maxwell and Frances Williams. She passed away suddenly at her Pasadena home on November 20, 2018. Sue spent her early and formative years in Montana, where she had a large family of 5 brothers and 1 sister. Montana is also where she met and married Darryl Robert Parker. They married on December 12, 1969 in Columbia Falls, Montana. Darryl had enlisted in the Navy and he and Sue traveled to various states for that enlistment. They raised three (3) children – Shawna, Rob and Sheree. When Darryl left the military, he took a position with General Electric. Sue was a stay-at-home mother until all of her children graduated elementary school. Sue attended Anne Arundel Community College and received her Associates Degree. She became a medical assistant and enjoyed that position for over a decade. Sue eventually had to retire from that position due to medical issues. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, travel when she was able, photography, gardening and various other activities. Sue was preceded in death by her husband and son. She is survived by 2 of children – Shawna Parker (and her significant other Chip Shockley) and Sheree Reich; Grandchildren, Kellsey Parker, Trevor Bandoch, Hannah and Connor Reich, and Logan and Levi Shockley. Great grandchild Abigail Simms. Sue is preceded in death by her brother Jerry Ivers and survived by a large (mostly) west coast contingent of siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins, including her sister, Joan Kelly (Dick) and brothers Ronnie Ivers (Linda), Ed Ivers (Gwen), Tom Ivers and Bill Ivers and sister-in-law Karen Ivers. She leaves behind a large extended family, including Jacob, Matthew, Katie and Ryan Silvious. She was a symbol of strength and courage and will be missed dearly.
