LEWIS , Thomas E. Suddenly on Thursday, June 23, 2011 Thomas E. Lewis (Thom) , 50, died on Eglin AFB, Okaloosa County, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne Whittington Lewis of St. George Island, Florida. Son of Chela M. Lewis and the late Charles J. Lewis Sr. of Pasadena, sister Cathy Thiemens of Ohio, brother Charles J. Lewis Jr. also of Pasadena, and sister, Sally Seen of Ellicott City. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. Thom was a devoted wildlife biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for over 25 years. He recently took a position as a wildlife biologist/ pilot intern. He was originally from Pasadena, MD. A graduate of University of Maryland and Texas A&M.
A memorial service will be held at Pasadena United Methodist Church, 61 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD at 11 AM on July 5, 2011. Interment immediately following at Meadowridge Memorial Park, on Washington Boulevard. Another service will be held on St. George Island, Florida, on a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Florida Wild Mammal Association, 198 Edgar Poole Road, Crawfordville, FL 32327. Donations may be made at the website www.wakullawildlife.org.
