Timothy Charles Haney
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Timothy Charles Haney, age 66, who passed away peacefully on December 13th, 2023, at Anne Arundle Medical Center after a fiercely fought battle with lung cancer. Known to friends and family as Tim, he was born on July 26, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland. Tim graduated from Mt. Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore Maryland in 1976. Shortly afterwards, Tim met and married the love of his life, Angela, and they wed on July 22, 1978. Their 45-year marriage was a testament to the depth of Tim's love and commitment for her.
He began his career at the United States Postal Service as a midnight Clerk in 1977 & climbed the ranks over the years until in 2011 when he retired as the Vice President Area Operations. Once retired, Tim returned to his passion of coaching. He became the Assistant Golf coach at Chesapeake High School in 2017 and became their Head Golf coach in 2018. In 2019, Tim also began assisting the Chesapeake High School JV Wresting team and was an instrumental member of the 2021-22 Chesapeake Wrestling State Championship team.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, Emily and Gilbert Haney as well as his sister, Barbara Macks. He is survived by his loving wife Angela, their sons Timothy, Nicholas and Joshua, his brothers: Gilbert (Skip), Kenneth and Dennis; his grandchildren Cayla, Timothy Jr. (TJ), Riley, Brenna, Brayden, Sophia, Avery, Layla, Joshua Jr., Lucas, Benjamin, and Jolene along with a large extended family and a multitude of friends who were blessed to know him. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to others will continue to inspire us all.
Family and friends are invited to visit the McCully Polyniak & Collins funeral home, P.A. located 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Tuesday December 19, 2023, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Chesapeake, 8325 Ventnor Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on December 20, 2023, at 12 PM. Interment Meadow Ridge Cemetery located at 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge Maryland 21075. Funeral Reception will follow afterwards at Long Point Hall 1534 Long Point Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122
Rest in peace, Tim. Your spirit will live on in our hearts, and your legacy will forever be a guiding light for us all.
