Vivian Deters

July 29, 1929 — April 3, 2017

Vivian Jean Deters (nee Cronhardt) passed away at home on April 3, 2017. Born to Leila and Raymond Cronhardt on July 29, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland, she grew up in Baltimore and attended Clara Barton High School where she studied to be a seamstress. She has resided in Pasadena since 1966. Vivian is survived by her husband, Robert L. Deters, Sr.; her three beloved sons, Bob (Karen), Dan (Teresa) and Rick (Lisa); six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and William, and her sister, Sally (Leila). Vivian shared many talents: singing, crocheting, gardening, cooking and baking. She loved deeply and her family brought her tremendous pride. Vivian loved playing games and cards, reading, spending time with friends and testing Lady Luck at the penny slots.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (macular.org) As Viv would say, “Tootle-loo!”

Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road (PASADENA) on Thursday April 6, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Where a funeral service will be held on Friday April 7, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment Private.
