Thacker, Vivian A. beloved wife of the late William M. Thacker, Jr., devoted mother of Nancy J. Linton of Pasadena and the late William C. Thacker, dear mother-in-law of Francis (Butch) Linton and Debra Thacker, both of Pasadena, loving grandmother of Timothy W. Linton and William C. Thacker, both of Pasadena, dear sister of Loraine Henkel, Marian Shipley, both of Curtis Bay and the late Jean Fleegle. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thacker a Pasadena resident for 2 years and formally of Curtis Bay was born in Maryland on May 25, 1924 to Edward and Ellen Schenck and was raised by her mother Ellen and step-father Leonard Wallace. Mrs. Thacker met her husband at the U.S. Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay during World War II. She was an Analyst for NSA for 20 years before retiring in 1986. Mrs. Thacker was a member of the Curtis Bay Senior's and enjoyed going to the casino, crossword puzzles, reading, watching British TV shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She was also on a bowling league in the 1970's
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 AM. Interment Baltimore National Cemetery.
