Betz, On March 7, 2011 William, Jr. Born in South Baltimore on June 6, 1927 to Katherine Ann and William Betz, Sr. He went to Southern High, joined the Navy in 1943 and stayed in for 31 years through World War II he was at the Bikini and Eniwetok for the A Bomb test. He was in the China Fleet for 3 years, stayed in the Military for the Korean War, then trained Navy recruits at Bainbridge, Maryland and San Diego, California. He stayed in for the Vietnam conflict where he ran river boats in Vietnam for 3 years. He retried after 31 years in 1973. He had many medals and honors, to many to list. He was a Senior Chief Boats Mate.
He is survived by his loving companion Elsie B. Lins and her family
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Friday from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon at which time funeral services will be held. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
