In the early hours of March 2, 2019; with loving family at his side, William “Bill” Hayden Carper peacefully joined his wife Peggy, the love of his life for sixty seven years. Late of his family home in Baltimore, he most recently resided in Anne Arundel County Maryland.
Known as Hayden to his family, and Bill to his friends he was born in Carter County Kentucky to parents Zachary and Viola Carper in 1932. Five brothers and one sister have passed before him.
He was an accomplished guitar player, and spent most of his career in the Baltimore shipyards. He fought in the Korean War.
Hayden is survived by his younger sister Inez List, daughter Melody and her husband William Murr, son Keith Carper and his wife Linda and daughter Tracey and her husband David Brown. He was known as Pop Pop to five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road (PASADENA) on Wednesday March 6, 2019 and Thursday March 7, 2019 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Where a funeral service will be held on Friday March 8, 2019 at 11 AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
