Clarence Earle "Woodie" Woods died suddenly on January 28, 2011. He was born December 9, 1936 in Westfield, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Harry and Weltha Woods. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia "Ginger" Woods, his sister, Jean Stevens of West Dover, VT., his daughter, Stacey Woods Whitmore, his son- in-law and friend, Joe Whitmore and two grandsons, Ricky and Jeremy who love him dearly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Edward Earle Woods (1969-1994).
Woodie retired from Blue Circle/Lafarge Cement. He coached and mentored many Lake Shore youths in Little League and other youth organizations. He was Treasurer of the Long Point Community Association and volunteered countless hours to make the community a better place to live. He is a long time member of the Huntington, MA Masonic Lodge and served in the Massachusetts National Guard. He loved camping, spending time with family and friends, and playing with his grandsons.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A. (PASADENA) on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Friday at 4:00 PM. Interment Private.
